Check out the "LISTEN" tab to hear the fall music. While this is no replacement for a concert, I am more than willing to sacrifice an evening in the fall if it means we get to continue to make music together every day. Imagine how sweet it will be when we get to share a live concert experience together again! What's the best part about being done with fall music? WINTER MUSIC! You know it's my favorite. I can't wait to get started tomorrow! -Ms. Pappas

Happy Thanksgiving! What am I thankful for this year? My family, my friends, my students. If nothing else, 2020 has taught me that relationships are the most important thing in the world to me. When times are hard, I lean on the people closest to me. When I am not feeling my best self, my family is there to support me, my friends are there to pick me up and my students are there to keep me going! I am extra thankful for my students this year. This has been a hard year for everyone. I would be lying if I said that everything has gone as planned and that I haven't been upset at one point or another by the unknowns and the unplanned changes. One thing that hasn't changed is the music and the students. You have carried on. You have continued to work. You have continued to make me laugh. You have continued to laugh with me (even though some of them are pity laughs- @8th grade, you know I'm funny). Thank you for singing with me and sharing a challenging experience with grace. I am thankful for you. -Ms. Pappas

Long time, no post! November has slipped through my fingers and time is flying by. Each group worked hard to get recordings of their fall music the past two weeks and I am proud of what you have accomplished. Thanksgiving Break is upon us and it is time for some well deserved rest and celebration. No matter what your plans look like over the next week, I hope that is relaxing, fun and safe! -Ms. Pappas

First 9 weeks- CHECK! I don't know about you, but this first quarter flew by. Before we know it, it's going to be 2021. It has been a pleasure watching you work, smile and play. Take some time this weekend to reflect on the first quarter. What did you do well on? What have you learned? What have you improved upon? What is your goal for next quarter? If there is something that you want to improve upon, there is ALWAYS time to do so. Your positive attitude is reflecting in your sound and I am so lucky to get to hear it every day. -Ms. Pappas

This is an important day for our country, community and school. On a "normal year" we would all gather in the gym for our annual Patriot Day Ceremony. Although we didn't get to share this experience together this year, I am thankful for the virtual ceremony during Patriot Time. To the choir classes who shared their talents for this performance, thank you. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to not only carry on the school's tradition, but also to honor the lives lost, the heroes' bravery and the community that we are so lucky to have. 8th grade mixed, your national anthem was strong and impressive. 8th grade treble, your tribute was so moving. 7th grade mixed, your song was inspiring. You have all received praises from administration, faculty, staff and students throughout the school. You should be proud of your work! -Ms. Pappas

That's a wrap on the first full week of the year! It is such a weird feeling to be exhausted but rejuvenated at the same time. I missed being in the classroom with you all and I hope that you are enjoying being back as much as I am. As most of you know, I don't cope well without schedules and details, so I am learning and evolving this year to become more patient and flexible. I appreciate you going on this journey with me. Even with the time apart and the craziness that is 2020, you still sound GREAT. It's going to be an awesome year! -Ms. Pappas

Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! To say that I am excited is an understatement. I don't know about you, but I have been looking forward to tomorrow since March. I miss music, sure. But more importantly, I miss my Patriots! It is no secret that this year is going to be different. We have all faced new challenges and are going to face more together this year. While this year may not be what we expected, we still have an opportunity to learn and have FUN. I can't wait to see your faces, hear your voices, and have great year! See you tomorrow! -Ms. Pappas
